Creating a Device Free Zone, which used to be called HOME

We are in the mist of moving over here. Yes, we are on a journey to a new and different place. Not the one pictured in the above photo, for it belongs to Country Living. But know we are on a journey to a place where life has a much slower pace and fires are allowed to burn out on their own. We are on a journey to a whole lot less chatter. We are on a journey to exposed ears which hear. We are on a Device Free journey and I know not what that means.

During the very last week of Bible Study Fellowship class of 2014, I felt our Father pressing in on me to create a Device Free Zone, which used to be called HOME. I have no idea of how we will create such a place! I have no idea of how we would get to such a place. For one thing the internet has replace the bookshelf once made to house all the encyclopedias. So, how do we create a space for people, not projects. So, how do we create a space for worship, not work. How do we create a space for prayer and play. How do we create a place to feast and fast. How do we do it? I have not an idea how HE will do it, I just know I’m going to do my best to trust HIM through it.

My thoughts they ramble on as I think of home and what it means to sleep and slumber in the steadfast security of Jesus Christ.

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9
