Day 10 of 10 Days of Blogging Revelation

“Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?”

600whiterobesday10Wow, here we are after looking at the Book of Revelation for ten days with Solomon in the background. The book of Revelation is all about Jesus. The point of Revelation is to encourage us believers to HOLD ON and stay faithful To Jesus Christ even though we may suffer.

Suffering is exactly what I’ve been doing for the last several months as I have lived apart from my husband and my son. But, the Lord provided this BSF Study of Revelation to encourage and refresh me and that is exactly what it did.

On the last day of class, one of my class mates brought party hats and we had a great big celebration. Just like we will one day do in heaven. We will celebrate Christ’s victory over sin and death. But, you know what? We don’t have to wait to celebrate. We can celebrate right now! With Christ we have the victory over sin and death. And in the end God will wipe every tear away.

Look to the Book of Revelation for much encouragement in what seams like our last days. Yes, some of the Book of Revelation is complicated and our minds create scary images from the combination of words. But, the one thing we must never forget is Jesus is our Savior in Matthew. Jesus is our Savior in the Book of Ruth. And this same Jesus is our Savior in the Book of Revelation.

 Revelation 14

I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

15 “Therefore they are before the throne of God,
    and serve him day and night in his temple;
    and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore;
    the sun shall not strike them,
    nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd,
    and he will guide them to springs of living water,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
