His Word Is Not A PROP. Truth is I have been known not to carry my special study Bible anywhere because I was ashamed of it’s ragged out conditions. Jimmy brought this one home from his Mother’s house and I thought it was a wedding present. So, I confiscated it. Then I found out different, but by then I had worn it out. So, I just kept it for myself. My adult Sunday School Class loved to see me arrive with all of my Bibles, but when one of our more vocal members became sick, I began preaching to our class, so I quit as my heart wanted our class to be more interactive. Our Sunday School class was not designed to be a mini church within a church. Things become perverted when we don’t know when to quit! And then like a crazy woman, I acted on The Lord’s prompting to require the Food Pantry Participants to spend five minutes in the word of God prior to getting a hot lunch and a food box, well of course you already know the end of that story. My study Bible is not a prop and it is held together by rubber bands and I am no longer ashamed of it. Nor will I continue to hide it to make you feel as if you are on equal footing due to your lack of wisdom in wanting. And know there exists another Bible or two much like the tattered and torn one, it has blue duct tape as it spine. It’s the one my folks gave me. Actually they gave each one of us our marriage Bibles. Me and my sister got white ones and the boys got black ones. God created me and although you may not like me, He loves me.
The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
he gathers the outcasts of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of the stars;
he gives to all of them their names.
