In transition is what we are. We are no longer what we used to be, but we are yet that which we are going to be. But we have great confidence in the one who called us out of darkness into the light. A few week ago, while researching the internet for forty day prayer resources I discovered Writing to God, 40 days of praying with my pen by Rachel Hackenberg. The following Sunday, after receiving it in the mail my pastor produced and published Revive, 40 days of prayer. And then this week Tyler Ward published The First Forty. Well, what you may not know is my hubby introduced me to the work of Tyler Ward as he used to cut his grass. You can find his book, The First Forty … here. I got mine for FREE and maybe you can too! I for one, think this is one awesome resource, so I printed it out!
I’m working on a few projects, here and there, but I am thankful for Lysa TerKeurst reminder to choose people over projects. The photo of the project above is going to somehow become a sign up station for Forty Hours of prayer. How I don’t really know. I have somewhat of a plan but know we are going to lean in to the Holy Spirit as to the final outcome. After painting the sign up station, the living room coffee table and our dinning table NOW sport the same shade of grey. My love of spontaneous painting allows me to remember and see how the blood of Jesus covers all of our sin. As my only purpose in covering the blue market booth with grey paint was to cover it. The grey paint also adds a coat of protection. It’s like my BSF teacher said … God gives his people what they need. IF we obey HE will do it.
My current work station set up reminds me of Mr. Hyatt’s. I hope you know I use Mr, when I address Mr. Hyatt because I have a great deal of respect for this man of greats. Like Mr. Hyatt I just finished rearranging my work station. I happily gave our extra bedroom/my office to the newly wed, so the living room is command central for me these days, as I said we are in transition.
It is a crazy forty day/hour thing around our place these days and now you know why. But also know when we apply Priscilla Shirer‘s Five (5) M’s of correctly hearing from God this forty thing is no thing but the mercy of confirmation.
What has our Father been confirming in your life lately?
And tomorrow look for our Weekly Weekend Wrap-up by 8PM Central time.
