I’m not really sure what I’m into these days. I’ve yet to sit down and map out any kind of strategy for this new year. Nor have I written down any goals. My birthday (2-10-63) marks my new year and I use it to set goals and measure progress. I am however already dreaming BIG again.
Leigh Kramer is the more than sweet host of What I’m into and we are joining her today.
So far below is What I’m Into …
We are praying for one of our blogging sisters Michele Cushatt. You should join us.
I am also praying for a neighbor friend.
Oh I forgot to mention we are praying for our Father in heaven to make a way out of no way for my vision of The Shur house to become a reality. The name may change but The Shur House is a two-year residential home for a single Mother with two or fewer children.
I’ve been collecting round tables, punch bowls and punch cups for The Shur House for some time now. Last year I had the privilege of attending a Thistle Farms Workshop and know this is the model we will base our facility on. My dream is to start small with one house and then build from there as the Lord sees fit.
I got the idea for the punch bowl chandelier after my first visit to Thistle Farms Cafe back in the fall of 2013.
I am super excited that our Father has allowed me to design a product for the women of The Shur House to produce to garner income, but it is Top Secret for now.
The cold days of winter also find me into soups and stews, I just love it when the house is full of the aroma of a single pot. Yesterday we made Black Eyed Pea Stew and it is so tasty.
Bible Study Fellowship Class kicks off again next week at St. Marks as well as our Lunch & Learn Class at Southeast Baptist Church. Murfreesboro is home to Middle Tennessee State University and both of these churches are super close to campus.
I’m also kinda excited for my son’s adopted dove bird to return to the high school on Monday and then again I will be sad to see Harry go. All that Harry is, is directed by the light.
My book reading goal for this year will likely be around five or six books. Over the years I have learned much about myself and one thing I have learned is that I am a responsive reader, so for my future reading goals, I’m going to give myself time to respond in writing to the works I read.
In the back of my mind sits a Jeff Goins challenge to write five hundred words for thirty one days. I saw this in my Face Book news feed and it has already, somewhat taken hold.
