When you find yourself in deep with Jesus, let down your nets {Final Note}

This morning I got up around 4 AM or so. Tiptoed into the living room and there I watched them sleeping. All four of them … sleeping with such a sense of peace I quietly went back to bed where I found my Jimmy sleeping just as peacefully as the children. I had prayed for this, I had prayed for our Father to create beauty from the mess of me and Jimmy. Two lives suddenly committed as one. Two lives lived for ever and a day with out one to love for their very own. Thankfully, one day last February everything changed and me and Jimmy became husband and wife. Very much in love and happy are we. Our Father says in His word let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

This brings us back to Simon Peter. We learn in Matthew 8:14, that Peter had a Mother-In-Law, so unlike Paul, Peter was married. But being married did not stop Peter from leaving everything and following Jesus. Being a husband did not stop Peter from doing as Jesus commanded in Luke 5:1-11. Some Bible scholars even suggest that Peter married late in life. Nevertheless Peter’s heart saw Jesus as Lord and Master.

Who is Lord of your heart and is the life you live evidence of such devotion?

And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever. Matthew 8:14
